Electric Type is an independent e-publisher. We create, write, and design better digital books. We are based in New York.
The Long Of It
Traditional publishers are in the throes of a generational and technological shift. There is a movement from reading print books to a richer, more layered experience on devices like the Kindle or iPad. If authors and publishers want to reach people, digital is where they should be looking.
Electric Type envisions the digital book landscape as going beyond pages and pixels. We design our books for book lovers, like us, who expect more from the next generation of digital editions. These books should be robust, easy to use, beautiful, and as innovative as they are timeless. Digital books shouldn’t be mere facsimiles of their printed counterparts—they should offer readers a unique chance to reinvest in reading.
